Lockdown
The moment the office closed reality hit. We were all in this for the long haul. Coronavirus was not going away in a hurry and our normal routines were thrown away to be replaced by a day to day existence which was uncomfortable, uncertain, and unsettling.
In so many ways I am fortunate. I can work from home, I have my own home, and I live alone. Self isolating is not difficult in those circumstances, although living with solo isolation was challenging. Getting into a new routine was key and with that in mind I made a few changes.
My day began with a walk of two miles or more, rather than a snatched breakfast and being first in the car park at work! A walk used to be a weekend past-time, then it became the daily routine. I normally listen to music, or an audio book, during a walk so have my phone, and I set myself the daily challenge of taking one photograph illustrating my walk. The route differed slightly from day to day, and as time went on I imagined finding new views would become more of a challenge, but with the scenery I have on my doorstep it was a very welcome challenge to have.
So here is the gallery of photos from that time.
I hope you enjoy taking a walk with me.
